swoonforme a demandé : I just needed to get the acetaldehyde in the first step to leave somehow. I wasn't sure how to make it a leaving group. I have NaOH in the flask as well, added in after a mixture of the starting material, an acid, and ethanol. Oh wow okay I didn't even have water in my reaction flask why did i put that in oh god BRENDAN WHAT DO I DO
